Optional add-on

Compliance packages

A flat annual add-on, purchasable at every tier including Core. Each package adds clause-mapped evidence, SOPs, and validation documentation on top of the records and controls the platform already produces. Qontiv is designed for compatibility with these standards; the manufacturer holds the certification.

IATF 16949

APQP, PPAP, PFMEA + control plans, layered process audits, MSA and gauge management, customer-specific requirements and scorecards.

Available today

ISO 13485 + FDA QMSR

CAPA and nonconformance workflows, risk management, device history records, complaints, incoming inspection, supplier corrective action.

Available today

AS9100

Scoped per engagement — not a shipped module. First article inspection (AS9102), counterfeit-part prevention, special-process qualification, and export-control record tagging are not available today. The platform-wide production records, electronic signatures, and tamper-evident audit trail apply now.

Available on request

21 CFR Part 11

Scoped per engagement — the packaged validation wizard and clause-mapped controls report are not built. Shipping today across every tier: immutable electronic signatures carrying a §11.50 meaning, a tamper-evident audit trail, append-only enforcement on every application write path, and per-release validation packs with IQ/OQ/PQ scripts for customer-executed validation.

Implementation

Implementation and guided data modeling: from $15,000, scoped per deployment.

Reaching a useful result in an MES means modeling equipment hierarchies, routes, and BOMs, and linking at least CSV or REST data from your ERP. That work is real, it is done by our team, and it is quoted rather than hidden in the subscription.

Terms that apply at every tier

Annual and multi-year terms

  • Annual prepay: 10% off list.
  • Three-year term with annual prepay, rates fixed for the term: 15% off list.

These are alternatives, not cumulative — the longest applicable term discount applies. A multi-year term fixes rates, not line count: lines added during the term bill at the fixed band rates.

Unlimited users and operators

Every tier. MES adoption depends on every operator having their own account, so we will never make that expensive. This is a published promise, not an introductory offer.

No per-machine, per-connection, or per-site charges

Sites are free containers. Connected machines are a tier capability, not a metered quantity. The production line is the only thing that scales your bill.

Line count is trued up — and down

Reconciled annually at renewal. Lines added mid-term are billed pro rata at the then-current band rate; reductions take effect at renewal. Nothing is charged silently and no production data is ever blocked.

Included allowances

Core: 100,000 API calls and 50 GB storage per month. Professional: 1,000,000 calls and 500 GB. Enterprise: unlimited.

AI Analytics add-on

A separately priced add-on covering the AI copilot, retrieval over your own documents, and AI-assisted analysis. Purchasable on any plan including Core, granted at the tenant level rather than per seat, and billed as its own line item on your subscription. Quoted with your plan — talk to sales.

Frequently asked questions

How is Qontiv priced?

Every tier is a monthly platform fee plus a per-line rate, with graduated volume bands — each band's rate applies only to the lines that fall inside it, so nothing is retroactive and the effective cost per line falls as you add lines. Core is $1,000/month plus $700/line for lines 1–8, $600/line for lines 9–20, and $525/line for lines 21 and up. Professional is $1,800/month plus $1,400/line for lines 1–8, $1,250/line for lines 9–20, and $1,100/line for lines 21 and up. Enterprise pricing starts above Professional at equivalent line counts, carries a minimum annual commitment of $150,000, and is quoted per rollout. The production line is the only metric: users, operators, machines, connections, and sites are never charged.

What counts as a production line?

A distinct sequence of operations that executes against a single Route revision, maintains its own work-order queue, and produces a countable unit of output recorded in Qontiv. Parallel duplicate lines producing the same part on separate equipment are counted separately. Sub-assembly or feeder cells that do not maintain an independent work-order queue are not counted separately. Shifts, crews, part numbers, and machine count do not affect the line count. Line count is reconciled annually against equipment records of type ProductionLine that recorded production activity in the preceding twelve months — modeled lines with no activity are not billed.

Is there a cap on how many lines I can run?

No. No tier has a line cap. Adding a line is a billing event at the published band rate, never a forced tier change and never a blocked feature — tier selects capability, not capacity. If you run more lines than your order form declares, the annual true-up reconciles it as a conversation, not a silent invoice.

Can we evaluate Qontiv before committing?

Yes — through a structured 4-week pilot on one of your production lines, using your real equipment, routing, and quality data. The pilot is $10,000, includes guided data modeling and onboarding by our team, runs against go/no-go success criteria we agree on before it starts, and the full fee credits against your first annual contract signed within 90 days.

What does implementation cost?

Implementation and guided data modeling: from $15,000, scoped per deployment.

Are users and operators really unlimited?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited users and operators. MES adoption depends on every operator having their own account — we will never make that expensive for you. User caps would undermine the exact adoption pattern we are trying to enable.

We're a batch or process manufacturer — does Qontiv work for us?

Qontiv is built for discrete manufacturing today — products produced as countable units with lot or serial tracking (machined parts, electronics assembly, consumer goods, battery packs, medical devices, etc.). Native batch-record management, ISA-88 recipe control, time-based continuous-process recording (kg/hour, liters/minute), and yield-from-recipe calculations are on our roadmap but not yet available. If you run a hybrid operation with discrete packaging or finishing lines at an otherwise-process plant, those lines can use Qontiv today — contact sales to discuss the fit.

Can I change tiers or line counts later?

Yes. Line count is trued up — and down — annually at renewal. Lines added mid-term are billed pro rata at the then-current band rate; reductions take effect at renewal. Tier upgrades are prorated to the day; tier downgrades apply at renewal.

What do the compliance packages cost, and which are available?

Compliance packages are a flat annual add-on purchasable at every tier, including Core — they are not bundled into a tier and not Enterprise-gated. Core is $12,000/year for the first package and $6,000/year for each additional package; Professional is $20,000 and $10,000; Enterprise starts at $30,000 with additional packages negotiated. Four packages exist: IATF 16949 and ISO 13485 + FDA QMSR are available today; AS9100 and 21 CFR Part 11 are available on request and scoped per engagement. The fee is flat rather than per-line because an audit is scoped to a certification and a site, not to a line count.

Is Qontiv compatible with IATF 16949 / AS9100 / ISO 13485 / 21 CFR Part 11?

Qontiv is designed for compatibility with these standards at every tier — full lot and serial genealogy, tamper-evident audit trails, e-signature binding implementing 21 CFR Part 11 §11.50 and §11.70 controls, with IQ/OQ/PQ templates for customer-executed validation, and production records that are immutable once signed. Qontiv itself is not certified to any of these standards; your certification body audits you, and Qontiv supplies the records and controls the auditor asks for. The compliance packages add clause-mapped evidence, SOPs, and validation documentation on top.

What about SOC 2?

Qontiv does not hold SOC 2 Type II today, and we are not going to imply otherwise. It is on the roadmap: a Type II report requires at least six months of continuous control operation observed by a licensed CPA firm, and we have not engaged one yet. Once a report is issued, Enterprise customers can request it under NDA. What exists today is the security posture, control catalog, and sub-processor register on our Trust Center — all of which you can read now rather than waiting for a certificate.

How do annual and multi-year terms save money?

Annual prepay: 10% off list. Three-year term with annual prepay, rates fixed for the term: 15% off list. These are alternatives, not cumulative — the longest applicable term discount applies. A multi-year term fixes rates, not line count: your band rates cannot move under you mid-term, and lines you add during the term bill at those fixed band rates.

Do you discount for multi-site or high line counts?

Volume is already priced into the ladder — the graduated bands mean your twenty-first line costs less than your first, automatically and without negotiation. Beyond that, Enterprise agreements are structured per rollout: phased line onboarding, multi-year terms, and multi-site scope are all negotiated in the contract. Sites themselves are never charged, so adding a plant never adds a fee on its own.

Do I need to buy machine-connectivity hardware?

No. Our edge gateway runs on any Linux or Windows device — a $35 Raspberry Pi 5, an industrial PC you already have, or a Windows machine on the shop floor. We do not sell hardware, and we do not charge per connected machine.

Is AI Copilot included?

No — AI is bought as the AI Analytics add-on rather than bundled into a tier. It covers the AI copilot, retrieval over your own documents, and AI-assisted analysis, and it is purchasable on any plan including Core. The add-on is granted at the tenant level and appears as its own line item on your subscription; there are no AI seats to count and no per-user metering. It is quoted with your plan rather than published here — ask for it when you scope your pilot. The "advanced analytics + alerting engine" listed on Professional is a separate, non-AI capability and does not include the copilot.

What ERP systems do you integrate with?

Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion connectors are available on Professional. SAP S/4HANA Cloud and NetSuite connectors are available on Enterprise (import scope). SAP S/4HANA On-Premise (ECC) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 are on the roadmap. CSV import, REST API, and webhooks are available on every tier for DIY integrations, and are the linkage used during a pilot.

I'm a design partner or early reference customer — are there discounts?

Yes. The founding-cohort design-partner program offers substantial Year 1 discounts ramping to list pricing over 24–36 months, in exchange for direct roadmap input and a lighthouse-reference arrangement. See the design partner page for full terms or tick the design-partner interest box when requesting a demo.
